I've avoided writing anything on the current situation, other than a little on social media, but as time goes on and more of what I said and predicted in the early weeks has happened, I've decided to start writing things down.
So, in the early weeks (March), I made comments about how easy it was to strip our rights and freedoms away. I also said there is no (logical) end to 'lockdown' without a (mandatory) vaccine, because the virus will still exist in weeks and months from now. At the time, most people said not to 'worry' about that, and that wouldn't be the end goal. Less than a month later, that became the end goal, and what we are repeatedly told we will be waiting for.
I also said that ventilators appeared to be doing more harm than good, and said that at least, the ventilator deaths appear to be medical error/negligence/mismanagement.
I am not a Doctor, I did not have huge amounts of science to back up my observation, but I did have common sense and 'seeing' (via social media) almost 100% of ventilator patients dying, rang alarm bells.
A whole 3 or 4 weeks later, the media started reporting as much. Mostly with the science.
Specifically, that the reason patients were put on ventilators was because their blood-oxygen levels were very low. Normally when oxygen saturation levels drop below 95% there's an issue. Some patients were said to have oxygen saturation levels of 70. This clinically would imply extreme impaired lung function and/or severe pneumonia, requiring ventilator care.
However some Doctors came forward in late April (maybe before) to say that in fact, patients were not having issues with lung function and their x rays were clear, which means they did not have pneumonia. (1) (2) (3)
Ventilators work by forcing air into the lungs. If a person has poor low function, and their lungs are not working properly, this temporarily does the work for their lungs, until the pneumonia or other infection is cleared up and lung function returns. In a normal case of pneumonia, the ventilation is only needed for a few days, or maybe up to a week.
Doctors reported that many Covid19 patients had normal lung function and instead their low oxygen levels were due to the blood cells not taking up and transporting the oxygen efficiently. When Doctors treated these patients with oxygen through a mask, as well as treatment to rectify the problem with the blood cells, they saw marked improvement in just a couple of days. On the other hand, early ventilator patients were being kept on the ventilator for 2 weeks or more, before most (over 80%) died. In the case of Covid 19, it appeared that the ventilators were damaging the patients lungs, and doing very little to improve their blood-oxygen levels, slowly starving the organs of vital oxygen.
Anyway, this is 'old news' now, so I will leave this post and begin a more relevant one.
